An English Heritage Site and one of the main tourist attractions on the Island -most famous for being the castle where King Charles I was imprisoned. Steeped in history and surrounded by fantastic walks and views. Dog friendly- dogs allowed if kept on a lead.
Robin Hill Adventure Park & Gardens
Set in 88 acres on woodland this is a great spot for seeing Red Squirrels! Great attraction for the older children and families -with rides and falconry displays amongst the things to do. Dog Friendly- dogs allowed if kept on a lead, must clear up after your pet. (they do provide you with a free poop scoop!) Advised to bring own water.
Blackgang Chine Adventure Park
Clifftop fantasy gardens split into sections including nursery land and cowboy town this is a firm favourite especially for younger children.

Godshill Model Village
Award winning secret garden with models of little houses, towns and trains.

Historic gorge (chine) running from the upper part of Shanklin Old Village down onto the beach. Filled with flora and fauna as well as a natural waterfall. Illumitaed at night in the summer months. Dog Friendly- Dogs allowed if kept on a lead.
Dogs 1st or 3rd Class is £3 - Dogs are conveyed subject to the safety and comfort of other passengers and at the Railway's discretion. They must be kept on a short lead at ALL times whilst on Railway property.

See the famous needles set out to sea and the coloured sand at Alum Bay. Try the chairlift down to the beach, or some of the rides in the park. Dogs are permitted onto all external areas of the park and onto the beach. They are not permitted in any internal building with the exception of hearing assistance and guide dogs. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
There are several nearby walks including the coastal walk from the Hotel to Bonchurch and on the Ventnor, or the sea front walk from the hotel along to the nearby town of Sandown.
